Monthly Children’s Programs

Welcome to the Monthly Children’s Program Page!

Each month we have regular programming.

Keep a look out for extra drop-in crafts and themed activities.

Monthly Programs

  • STEAM Book Club (Grades K-2)

    • During the K-2 STEAM book club we will read fiction and non-fiction picture books and easy readers that have to do with science, technology, engineering, art, and math! Kids can read the books with their grownups if they do not read independently yet. At the meeting we will talk about our book of the day, do a fun activity, and have a light snack. You can pick up a copy at the library before the meeting.
  • Family & Community Connection Music Group and Story Time & Crafts (Ages 0-8)

    • The FCC hosts two programs a month. Playgroups and early learning activities for children 0–8 years old.
  • Construction Zone (Grades K-5)

    • Children in grades K-5 and their families are welcome to come for some independent building time with Legos! Legos are Provided.
  • Comic Free Draw (Grades 1-5)

    • If you like comics, graphic novels, and creating your own stories and drawings, then you’ve come to the right place! At this independent drop-in group you can: Learn about new comics and graphic novels, draw some of your own comics, and meet up with friends.
  • The Gaming Hour (All Ages)

    • This is a chance for patrons of all ages to come and play with our card and board games. Please bring games that you like from home to play as well. This is a great chance to meet new people and play new and old games.
  • Reading with Finn (Grades K-3)

  • Come and read to Finn, our Reading Educational Assistance Dog! This program is designed to help the child develop his/her reading skills. Bring a book of your own, or pick one out from the library.
